okay, I could not replicate with our test user here (full 50 posts in unread) nor on a couple test sites...
so next question... what browser? and is it PC or Mac or other?

I wouldn't have seen it either. Members of the forum wrote about the problem so I checked it out.

I was however able to see it here on your forum. I am using Firefox on a Mac. Not sure what others with the same problem use.
Just checked it right now and it is working correctly here. Did you change anything?
Cecked with Safari too. All is good.

I actually restarted my browser last night before going to bed. Do you think that might have fixed it?
I started experimenting to find the problem after reading this post and one more person confirmed it.

Using a Mac and Firefox I have to say I have no problem here or on any other test site I have tried.
Firefox can get 'tired' and need restarting on a fairly regular basis and the first sign of trouble will be resources disappearing (like links) so it is probably that simple although odd more than one person had it happening,
