Support Forum
Hello, this was brought to my attention by one of my users.. here is his message:
---
When I click the "Profile" button up in the top right, it takes me to my account info stuff, shows the tabs for Profile, Options, etc., but the space below the tabs where the stuff should be is blank. Apparently, it's still loading, because after I waited 5 seconds or so, it showed up (Even though the loading icon in Firefox had gone away already). But if you click on one of the tabs before it closes, it takes you to an entirely different page where it shows what would normally be in whatever tab, except it's in plain text on a white background.
I don't know if this is even really a major bug or if it will fix itself when the site's speed is improved, I just thought I'd bring it to your attention just in case.
----
For the record, I am aware that the feedkey is not sensitive information. Is there any way to address the premature loading of these pages though?
No, not a bug... probably one of two things.... first, you moved your site from one domain to another or from a test site... try going to forum - toolbox - housekeeping and resetting the profile tabs or menus... or two, there is a js conflict on your site...

is this for all profiles? or just this one user?
try the profile again with the browser console open... any errors shown?
do you have a link to site so we can look for obvious conflicts?

This is for all profiles. The link to the forum is http://www.cringechannel.com/forum
There are no errors shown if I just let it finish loading. However, if I click prematurely on one of those links within the profile area, (as the user described doing), i get the following errors:
- Uncaught ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined index.php:2
-
(anonymous function)index.php:2
-
- Uncaught ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined index.php:20
- (anonymous function)index.php:20
- (anonymous function)index.php:20
This is more than likely because you are using the w3tc caching
plugin... you cannot cache the forum page because it is dynamic in
nature...
for w3tc, you need to tell it to ignore the forum page for ALL types of
caching in effect - especially js minification as it screws that up...
