Support Forum
SimplePress sends me an email for topics I'm subscribed to. When I click the link at the bottom of the email that looks like this...
To unsubscribe, please visit your profile: http://www.mysite.com/?page_id=2725/profile&ptab=subscriptions&pmenu=topic-subscriptions ...it takes me to a page that says 'The requested forum does not exist' (screenshot attached). Any thoughts? Thanks, Phil
Are you asking if I own http://www.mysite.com? No, the actual url is below, but it's password-protected:
http://www.smilinggardener.net.....scriptions
The forum is working correctly here (but again, it's password-protected): http://www.smilinggardener.net.....ge_id=2725
Should I PM you guest access?
Phil
Were you logged in? If not logged in you won't be able to access the profile. Can you try the link from email again first making sure you are logged in?

No - I was referring to the rest - /?page_id=2725/profile&ptab=subscriptions&pmenu=topic-subscriptions
If you are logged in and you paste that into the address bar is it correct? Or even better if you open you profile and load the subscriptions tab does the url match this one?

1. When I go to profile and go to the 'Subscriptions' tab, the url in the address bar stays as http://www.smilinggardener.net.....25/profile (I guess the tab loads in the background via javascript or whatever)
2. But when I hover over the 'Subscriptions' tab, the link looks like this ( http://www.smilinggardener.net.....1092967189 ). So does it have something to do with the fact that my wordpress install is in subdirectory 'success' as you can see in the url above?
3. On the other hand, when I click the 'Subscriptions' button at the top of the forum, it pops up a new window that does exactly match the url we've been discussing all along. So does it have something to do with the fact that the 'Subscriptions' button usually launches a rather bare bones javascript window.
Thanks, Phil
no, the urls seem fine... regarding success, at least... one is a direct reference to a file on your server so must have the success in it... the other is a reference to the domain in which case WordPress handles the url rewriting... the popup is done with ajax so irrelevant really...
but I cannot see the forum so hard to see what might be going on...
can you answer Andy's question though? if you just paste that url remnant in the browser while logged in, does it work?

is the url you entering encoded? or raw? by that I mean & instead of &?
have been testing this out tonight on multiple sites and is working fine so a bit puzzled... can we try this url as is
http://www.smilinggardener.net.....scriptions
or
http://www.smilinggardener.net.....scriptions
curious to see if the encoding is throwing it off...
