Hello!
I have been busy with a lot of work on my blog but I have also been testing my forum, which is lovated on a different website. As I would like to go live now (it is working very well), I would like to move it all on my blog. This is something I need to do very carefully as if anything happens to me live blog I am in big trouble!
So I have tried to test the move of the forum on a test blog. First thing and I am already having an issue! I have downloaded the latest base SP plugin, added it on the test blog but, when I try to install it, I keep getting this error: "Unable to communicate with SP servers for version requirements.".
So I am stuck ad in need of your help please.
The only thing I can say is that the current forum is on a plain and simple website, while the blog is on a blog platform where there could be some limitations. If I know what is giving that error I may ask the blog support people to modify something for me! Thanks.

Oh sorry, forget about this question. I thought I saw this message also when installing my current forum and remembered what needs to be done. I will ask my blog support people. Sorry for the waste of time post!

I think this is probably the same communication error I just posted to you about. i think if we fix it once then it all should start to work again. I am hoping so anyway!

I did this a long time ago when installing SP the first time and had forgot about it. Luckily I found some notes and have already forwarded a request to my support people to open the whitelist server to server also for the test blog I want to install the forum into! Should be done by tomorrow so I can proceed. Thanks a lot!

So am I right in thinking you don't need any assistance from us here, you know what the problem is and you're going to continue to trial move your forum?
