Guys - we are experiencing the same problem of needing to click update twice for a new or edited signature to stick on one of our sites. I have read through the thread but cant see a specific fix and we have a similar setup with tinymce. What was the fix for this? The site is http://problem-with-post-edit-.....ance.com

I believe it was resolved by fixing another plugin that was dealing with tinymce... do you have one of those?

I can also say that in the upcoming 5.3 (just waiting on wp 3.6 to release) we did change a bit how profile saving works though not really related to this...

your site wont load for me...

okay, nothing jumps out there, but I cannot see tinymce loaded because I cannot post...  so next step would be to pm us (me and yellowswordfish) temp account credentials so we can actually see tinymce loaded...  be sure to link to this topic in the pm...

so I believe your issue will be solved with the SP 5.3 release and the next version of tinymce...

those combined change the way tinymce is used in profile signatures...  I had not seen this issue before (requiring two saves to take effect) but it seems like  similar issue with tinymce in the DOM...

those two should be released in the next couple weeks... We are just waiting for WP to release wp 3.6... its nearly complete with beta3 underway for couple weeks now...  all three are tied together due to wp changing how some stuff works...

OK.. in the meantime we will need to edit the code to advise the user to hit Update twice to save the signature correctly in "Preview of Your Signature (update to see changes):"
Could you please point me in the right direction for the text? Many Thanks.

I would use the 'sph_ProfileSignatureForm' filter and just do a php str_replace on the text... holler if you need help with using wp filters...
