See below what happens when I try to upload a pdf directly from the forum using the media uploader:

you have pdf listed in the image types... cant do that - its not an image file...
each file type (image, media and file) needs to only have the appropriate types... pdf should only be listed in file type...

Thanks. That was left from a long time ago when people were not able to upload pdf's in the SP4 version. I made an attempt to solve it by adding the pdf in the image and media section and all of a sudden they were able to share their pdf's. I corrected this now.
I'm getting complaints that users are not able to upload their jpg's or gif's. Maybe now it will work.

okay. let us know how it goes. feedback on uploader thus far has been almost totally positive... only one or two folks that miss the more complex file manager...

in your previous list of allowed images, you are not allowing .PNG or .JPG... only .png and .jpg... unix boxes are case sensitive... if you want uppercase extensions, add them to the list...

Such a simple solution. I actually thought about that while I was afc today and was going to double check upon my return.
For some reason the 4.5 version had all those types set up already. Never had an issue.
