Replies from the user today:

two add-ons on my Internet Explorer are Adobe Flash and Silverlight. The other browser I used is Firefox.

On another note, I have been experiencing automatic restarts on my computer. I just received word from my tech guy that a bad "logic board" may be causing this to happen. He suggests replacing the computer. Does this relate to my not being able to post videos in the forum? Also remember I did try to post my videos on another computer which uses Windows XP with no luck.

also:

I am unable to post a reply for Bill S for drill #2. When I click reply button I get a square green block but then I am unable to write text in the box. Please advise.

shouldnt be any issue with those addons - I use them...  if the user cannot reply, sounds like some sort of js conflict local to them... can you verify which version of Win 7?  and that IE 11 is up to date?

you might also have them go to their profile and try one of the other editors (plain text, hmtl or quicktags)...  they are not wysiwyg, but might provide a temp work around...

Okay, here's the end of it finally and thank you so much for your patience. I'll say it again, you guys do an outstanding job.

So I had him try it with Firefox on XP and I know from my own tests that IE and Chrome don't work very well with a lot of things regarding the internet including the forum. Firefox worked for him on his old backup computer. The XP test was while he had his main computer out for repair. The main computer was the one not letting him post. He got his main computer back today and he tried to post, and with links, and had success. I had him set to plain text as you suggested and that worked. I'll have him set it back to test it again that way but I think it's going to be fine now.

So it seems it was a hardware issue with his main computer. I had to follow it through regardless but never would have guessed that was the cause.
