WordPress 4.7.4 Noopener Noreferrer Tags New Window URL's
Are you guys aware that WordPress as of 4.7.4 adds 'noopener and noreferrer’ tags to external AND internal links opening in a new tab? Essentially anything that opens in a new window or tab (target_blank) on your WordPress site. Any older post once edited inherits these new tags.
Quite a buzz going on over it. Supposed to be security related.
Thoughts anyone?

OK - investigation done 🙂
These tags are not actually added by WordPress. They are added by the TinyMCE editor when the link toolbar button is used and the popup form completed with a target of 'new window'. hat appears to be the only intervention - at least my code search suggests that.
A quick test shows that these tags are, indeed, being added on posts here.
