That's the Apache web server log. We are really asking about the php error log.

I´m on a VPS managed hosting, with no control panel.

I tried the /var/log/php.log, but there are no entries for today...

your php.ini file would tell you where its located... vps doesnt really matter as far as log - unless its completely disabled in php.ini (non standard)...

another option would be try enabling wp debug in your wp-config.php file... add:

define('WP_DEBUG', true);
define('WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', true);
