No - that doesn't happen to me, I am trying to help you by finding the bit of code in question which is why i asked what exactly is the message you get because I can't find it. There is no text message like the one you quoted which is why I need the exact wording.

Is it this:
'A Simple Press Poll can only appear in a forum post'
Which I guess means the same but it actually nothing like your text..
And is this using a shortcode somewhere?

yes exactly this..at the bottom of a new thread it says add poll..so i press it and add the poll but then when u finish the post, is says that message

so what version of WordPress, simple press and polls plugin? this could occur a long time ago for wp themes doing weird things but have not seen a case of it occurring since we added a workaround for those couple of strange wp themes...
what wp theme do you use? if you temp switch to the default wp theme, does it still occur?
can you post a screenshot of you forum - integration - page and permalink settings?

yet to have pollls works..switching to different themes doesnt help..I saw once in another post u helped someone fix this by editing a file but i dont remember anymone

long, long time ago, but its handled in the plugin now... which is why we are asking the questions...
what version of wp, sp and polls?
