Yep! As I said, the gravatars WERE working, and then they just stopped. Here:
trying to investigate, but I am having difficulty using your wp admin - namely the simple press admin pages... they are all throwing js errors from something called wpmUi... do you know what that is? After loading an sp admin page, these errors prevent me from going any further in the admin...
Whoa, that's weird! I'm not getting that error, or I would have mentioned it. I'm thinking we must have a plugin conflict, but I have no idea which one.
Also, as a reminder, we disabled all plugins before trying to figure out why Simple-Press was misbehaving, and it didn't fix it. Hmmm. I'll see if I can figure out which plugin is misbehaving!
Thanks for your help. It would be one thing if it hadn't worked, but it's worked for over a year, so I'm sure we can get it BACK to working again, somehow. 🙂

understand... was just wanting to look at some stuff in our admin but couldnt..
could you take screenshot of the entire forum - profile - avatar options panel and post it here? might be worth just updating that panel too (ie save it again)...
its odd how the http request (or at least some) go out to gravatar and return the avatar, but its not used... not sure i will get the answer from the admin... next step might be to get access to the server so we can add some debug code and see why the gravatar is not displayed..

I think I found the javascript error, by the way - I believe it was a plugin that needed an update. Fingers crossed!

We will get back to you later of course but it looks to be a change that WP made to their HTTP Request Library which has changed the response. We will get it fixed up probably today.

yes, WP made a change to the HTTP library and its a breaking changing (though they failed to document it or relay it to developers)... so we will have to make a change... just working out the best way to adapt to the new api here... have several fixes, just testing best performing one...

Any further progress on the MyCred thing? It at least knows that the Wordpress plugin is installed now, but still won't let us change "MyCred"" to "Quills" beneath user avatars, specifically. Do I need to make a template change?

the mycred fix is in place and mostly tested... just need to find the time to release... likely this coming weekend...
same for the gravatar issue.. going to need a core change to account for the wp code change... we are talking about this coming weekend as well... I could give you a manual code change if you are up to it...
