well, we need to understand what is conflict with the wp jquery ui autocomplete...  we have no other reports of the autocomplete now working, so its quite hard to trouble shoot on sites that do no exhibit the problem (just yours currently)...

It doesnt help you, but I am sick today and Andy is on vacation so our response time is down...will try to do some further work as soon as I can...

Hi Mr Papa,

I hope you are now feeling better.

I activated the default theme twenty thirteen and the plugin worked. I was able successfully to see the autocomplete in action.

So we've narrowed it down to a theme problem.

Any suggestions?

thanks

Blaise

so its probably some js that its loading...  maybe changing the order can help...  on forum - integration - page and permalink, try loading the forum js in the footer...

are there any theme options regarding js loading?

Hello,

Still no success.

I tried activating the loading js in footer as described above, cleared the cache, tried 3 different browsers but still without success. It currently is activated.

There are no theme options regarding JS loading.

You support is much appreciated.

There looks to be about 8 js files loaded by the theme...  Next step for me would be to see which one is causing the issue...  in the theme, where they are loaded, I would one at a time comment out the loading and see if you can figure out which on to dig into further...

note, not including one may cause issues with your theme operation, so its only a test...  then we can try to isolate further...

Hi,

Just wanted to let you know that this is still not solved. I was unable yet to conduct your recommended testing as I lack the skillset to comment out these javascripts.

understand.

but this remains a unique problem on your site.  and its hard to offer suggestions without more data.  I do understand the catch 22 with messing with a live site.

I am very disappointed with the support I am getting here.

This has been opened for 14 days and the last item to fix before my site goes live and I do not see much support to resolve this.

well, frankly, a bit disappointed in  your unwillingness to try things...  this is a unique report that is only happening on your site...  we have already established that switching to a default wp theme and the problem goes away...  so something the wp theme is doing is conflicting with simple press...  but if you are unwilling to try some of the experimentations to isolate your local problem, how would you suggest proceeding?  we cannot conjure up a fix for your local issue if we dont know what it is when no one else is experience similar and we cannot duplicate...

I understand your concern with live site, but if that is the only place a problem is occurring, logic dictates its the best place to troubleshoot it too...

My developer found the culprit: it was YITH Ajax Search plugin. Disabled and it now works.
