Is there a plugin that generates the sending of an e-mail to all registrered users when a post is created in a forum ?

Thanks.

Well yes. Subscriptions.

But in keeping with many countries rules on spamming, this is basically an 'opt-in' option although you can set things up so that new and future users will be automatically subscribed to all topics they post to. You can also set things up so they can subscribe to complete forums.

Relentlessly sending emails to every user for every post is somewhat frowned upon these days and certainly can be blocked by some hosting companies or ISPs even.

For details on setting up the Subscriptions plugin - see the entry in the codex in the 'Available Plugins' section.

I have a a few number of members only.

How to configure, or to update the database, in order to send an e-mail to each member when a post is created or a reply added ?

Thanks.

Hey Patrick,

Have you had a look at the Codex Entry that Andy suggested?

Yes, I did. But it does not not explain that.

It explains : "Auto subscribe members to all topics they post in"

But not "Auto subscribe members to all new topics and replies created by anybody"

OK.. I think that's probably about the extent of what you can / should do.

Please have a look at this post for details
