We also seem to have a bit of an issue allowing access to certain forums based on wishlist plugin levels.

We did create wp roles for each membership and mapped them in Wishlist. We did create user groups and manually added the older members for each group corresponding to their membership levels. We did add permissions for each forum based on user groups.

But we have a user group (and membership) that should allow access to everything, no matter what other membership (or user group) he belongs to. Sort of an all-access-pass. Yet some forums (even if setup correctly permission wise) don't appear at all for those FREE - ALL ACCESS users.

Can it be a question of permission hierarchy? If yes, how do we make the FREE user group permissions above all others?

the usegroup members are OR'ed  together...  so the best permission wins...  as long as on usergroup and permission the user has allows it, permission is granted...

for one of these users, go to their profile (edit it) and view their permissions...  see if it shows what you really think the permissions are...

Well it's not working. As the forum in question doesn't allow access unless user is FREE or PLATINUM.

The user in question is SILVER and FREE yet he cannot see the above forum AT ALL. Doesn't appear in the list, though for admins or platinums it appears.
