Okay,used the ftp credentials (thanks!) and verified that everything is happening correctly on the simple press end...
On a new post, the subscription email is properly generated and handed off to WP for sending... I did not debug the wp email side of things...
But my next step would be consulting my email logs on the server and see if they are attempted to be sent...
not sure what I else we can do without more data as to where its failing upstream on your server...

... and I received a new post subscription email this morning. Looked most odd as the text was surrounded by what looked like WishList short codes...

not sure what you did, or what i did, but they now work. we receive new reply emails. thanks

We didn't do anything. Only confirmed that the emails were being sent to the wp_mail() function.

It might have been when you disabled the digest stuff.... but as Andy said, I didnt change anything just verified operation...
