We're trying to install the Template Tag plugin by uploading the .zip file.

The install is failing and we're getting this error message:

The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.

Plugin install failed.

We are using the most current version of SimplePress.

where are you installing it? using the SP plugin installer? or the WP?

did you follow the steps here: http://codex.simple-press.com/.....g-plugins/

Are you trying to add it using the WordPress plugin uploader? The Simple:Press add on plugins need to either be manually installed see here: http://codex.simple-press.com/.....g-plugins/ or by using the Simple:Press plugin uploader in the Forum Admin > Plugins > Plugin Uploader page.

Thanks so much for your help! I just went back and used the Simple Press plugin uploader as directed and it installed perfectly!

(I had tried to upload it with the WP plugin installer the first time.)

I appreciate the tip!

Hi Mr. Papa,

 

I'm trying to upload it with the plugin uploader, but it gives, wordpress failure notice: and gives this error too:

Are you sure you want to do this?

Please try again.

 

Plugins won't install, I already tried the help file:

but it won't install either via ftp or plugin upload.

Can you please help..

you cannot use the wp plugin installer... its a simple press plugin, not wp... so use the sp plugin installer... forum - plugins - plugin uploader...
