My Papa,
Thanks so much. I PM’d you with the info! I appreciate it!
Marilyn
so it seems to be a conflict with the CK editor plugin you are using…
but what I am struggling with is where you actually use that plugin on the front end???? I can see it in use on the admin… but not on the front end…
you have the option selected to replace WordPress comments with CK editor too, but I dont see any posts for users to comment on…
If I disable the plugin, all works… OR if I disable using the CK editor plugin for comments, which as I say doesnt appear to matter, then all works in the forum too…
Mr Papa,
Wow, up late and working on a Friday night! Me too!
Thanks so much!
Disabling the CK editor comments did the trick! I appreciate you finding the glitch! We used to have comments on the pages, but added the forum instead so the comments editor was certainly unneccessary.
Thank you,
Marilyn
Hey guys! We’re experiencing the same symptoms. I have the TinyMCE plugin installed, but just get the plain box going 1/2 way across. I’ve looked at the jquery loading through “View Source” and can’t see any conflicts (but I could be wrong, lol). I also tried using a different theme with no luck. The couple plugins (besides SP) that were loading their own libraries I deactivated and still no luck.
At least we’re a step in the right direction as yesterday I had fatal errors everywhere from TinyMCE. So at least we can now try to find the issue!
I’m PM’ing you an admin login with forum rights and FTP creds as well.
We’re running WooThemes Delegate and WishList Member.
Thanks for taking a look!

You need to do one thing first an then I can take another look.
WP has some requirements of themes and one is mandatory call to the function wp_footer(). Your theme is not making this call.
If you don’t know where to put this the best thing is to look at the Wp default theme footer.php template and find the call in that and then do the same thing in your theme,
Thanks for your response, but I’m confused, sorry! Am I looking for < ?php wp_footer(); ? >?
’cause that call is showing up in my footer.php for the Delegate Theme. was it not showing up for you?
Hi guys,
Just realized that my site as well having issue with TinyMCE toolbar missing/not visable after latest SP update.
However, it only apply to forum members with IE8 and IE9. Members with Firefox and Chrome have no issues.
Cheers
Thomas
I have not looked at the theme source code. But WP works by allowing plugins to add code using hooks. wp_footer() is one of those places and the code that SP adds to the footer is not present in the generated html…
I will take another look this morning.
Well I apologise. I must have been imagining things. Tired perhaps. So sorry for the false start.
Ok the problem I can see but can not explain. for some reason the plugin options are not being saved correctly in your database. Actually – having experimented I think the problem is that the old options are not actually being removed.
So try as I might I can not correct them through the UI.
Is it possible for you to take a look at your database? I need to know some values in one of the tables and also change them directly in the db if that is going to be possible…
Andy, you still have access to the server host. Same credtials as before. But if you do not have the time, i am happy to take a look. Just tell me what to do!
Ah sorry – this got lost in the original thread posts.
I am not really sure what to do at the moment as I don’t have a PC and can not, therefore, try anything with IE. Need Steve for that. I was going to do a search to see if such a problem has arisen before recenty but I don’t recall anything. I will do that now.
I just talked to another swedish guy who have the very same issue since latest SP update. However, if he inactivates following SP plugins: subscribtions, tags, watches and topic describtions… the TinyMCE suddenly shows up again.
Did not try that my self yet, since i am at work. But i wanted to share since it might be of some help to you.
Cheers
Thank you! Yes, I can get into the DB so just let me know what info you need. Thanks!
