Ok, I’ll do it. I’ll just need your email addresses or one I can use. Thanks.
Support Forum
just use one of yours… really doesnt matter as far as WP is concerned… but you can always just use support at simple-press dot com…
no worries… please email any details to myself and yellow swordfish and reference this topic…
well I have been over to your site and had a quick look and am somewhat mystified at the moment!
The reason you are not seeing the editor is quite simply that none of the editor components are being loaded. What is odd, however, is that there are no errors or warnings which suggests that the site is not even trying to load it and failing in some way! That would give me something to work with!
I think we need to start with verifying the actual timyMCE SP plugin files. Unfortunately, the account you set up for us does not have forum admin rights so I could not check more deeply.
So – if you navigate to the forum admin > components section – do you have am ‘Editor (TinyMCE)’ admin panel listed and if you do, and you load it, do you see the form with the various options filled in?
I think I gave you the admin rights now because I didn’t see what you wanted me to look for.
yes thanks. Still totally mystified but working on it…
The Thesis theme has always been a challenge for plugins!
I have asked Steve (Mr Papa) to take a look as well. See if he can spot something I may have missed.
have we tried a switch to the default wp theme to see if it still is wrong?
nothing sticks out as an issue there – except its not working… next step would be to see if we could get ftp access to the simple press plugin so we can try inserting some debug code and see why the js is not getting loaded…
Could you try the WP theme route? I know it’s a nuisance but it only should take a minute or two and it would then discount Thesis as being an issue….
And did tinymce start showing up or not? this was just a quick test to see if it was a conflict with theme – just rule that in or out real quick….
