How do I export a custom theme?
Or how can I get a new .zip file and just copy and paste the CSS to the new file...

What do you mean? Copy from one site to another? Use your computers operating system tools. Filer on a Mac or Explorer on PC. They usually have, I believe tools to enable you to zip up a folder and it's contents and copy it.

New zip file? Sorry - new zip file of what? And you can't edit files within a zip - you need to unzip contents first.

I can't find the app for compressing into .zip files
maybe i'll check the app store.
I honestly don't think mac has that app in place or i'm sire I would of seen it...

using my mac if I need to zip up a folder I simply select the folder, right click and use the 'compress' option on the menu.

Ok, I now know how to compress a file, but when I coped and pasted the theme I wanted and compressed it.
It still was not able to upload… Obviously I'm doing this wring.
SO how do I export the theme folder I want to use?
I wanted to use the Wordpress Export tool but, it only shows options to export pages, posts, comments etc.

I tried downloading a new .zip of the default theme and I just renamed the file to default custom.
But that didn't work either. It allowed me to upload the theme, but when I went to activate it I got an error message so I'm still stuck..
