I almost didn't see the save post button at all, think it should be white.

oh, looks like perhaps an issue when you are using the old antiquated posting form...  I would suggest you go to forum - options - display settings and enable the integrated toolbar.. its a much better UI and UIX for posting...  of course, if you like this old style better, you can stick with it...

still, will open a ticket for the old style...

Indeed! It should have been turned on as the default actually. We will. however, get those buttons cleaned up for the next update.

odd...  the install default is integrated toolbar on...  sure this was fresh install of simple press?

we will have to run some additional tests...

I did do a new install, but now noticed that there were members from a previous install.   I thought that everything would be wiped with a new install (actually didn't remember I had tried this a few years ago on this site), but there must have been an existing database.

that sounds right... an install does not remove any existing data... you must use the uninstall functionality to remove the data...

thanks for the update - helps to make sure it is the default for new install...
