In your mail, u said that the importer only works with wordpress 3.1
I'm in version 3.0.5, the importer wouldn't work on this version?
I've done a crazy import from smf to phpbb to bbpress. :/

the crazy import shouldnt matter. we do not import everything.
you can try it on 3.0.5, should be okay, others have used it, but we only tested on 3.1...

I'd also be very interested in trying out this plugin.
I'm working to move a site from joomla to wordpress. The site currently has a forum.
What I've done so far is:
- managed to move all of my pages/posts from joomla to wordpress (hundreds of them!)
- migrated from kunena to simple machines forum
- migrated from simple machines forum to bbpress
- imported all users from joomla to wordpress
Now I just need to migrate from bbpress to simple press and I can begin design and styling of the site!
I'd love to test out the plugin for you as well!

Before we go there I do have some code written by a user to import forum data from Kunena to SP. I can not try this of course and can not vouch for it or support it but I can send you that as well if you would like to give it a try?

I'd definitely be interested in that script as well. You could send either both, or just the kunena one if you like. I have an entirely separate install of the whole site that I've been working with, so I can play games with it and test it out.
