i would like a copy of this importer as well. I have a bbPress forum I would like to move to simple:press.

I have wordpress 3.1
I installed clean SP 5667 build.
So on http://wordpress.co.ua/forum i see a clean well-worked forum page. (screenshot http://prntscr.com/1mrad)
after that i start importing from bbpress. import finished without any problem (http://prntscr.com/1mrbu). in SP-admin I see new forums, users.
But! on http://mysite_domain/forum i see nothing - where are no any SP... just wordpress page with title (http://prntscr.com/1mrbd)
And another thing.
On clean installed SP when i go to http://wordpress.co.ua/forum as loggedin user and guest - browser shows me well-worked forum page
after importing from bbpress, browser shows blank (http://prntscr.com/1mrbd) when i loggedin, and shows well-worked forum page (but without imported forums) when i guest

i don't know, is it imortant, i have define("FORCE_SSL_ADMIN", true); in my wp-config.php and also i did fix in sf-constants.php to make SP-admin work
i would also like a copy of the importer, however i already have quite a few members from the bbpress that have also registered on the wordpress, do you have any idea how the importer will function in this situation, if it will merge users, or make duplicate?

Dmitry: There could be many reasons behind what you are seeing and we need to maker a visit to your site to take a look. But first - take a look at the FAQ and try the suggestion to see if that helps. Ot might poissibly be the issue:

Miguel Dias: I can email you a copy of the importer (we have not put it up for download as yet as we are still really at a beta stage with it). I will send it to the email adress you used for this post.
I think you may have a problem with your users however. The importer uses the user ID from the bbPress table and maps that to a new ID in the target WP table. Unless you have the option active to NOT import users. I think either way you are going to lose some if not all. But I will send it anyway...

thank you for the importer, do you think that in the future, it will be able to merge with success duplicate member accounts, like through their e-mail address (my bbpress has like 3000 members, but my new wordpress site has like 1000 members), also as i understood ill be able to transfer all the posts, but they wont be connected to any users, like orphan posts, is that correct?

I can certainly look into it. We have been taking this one stage at a time - the first stage being to just get the thing working!
If you imported now and included the import of users then theoretically all your posts would still be linked to users. If their user login is the same on your WP site as on the old bbPress site then it should link them OK. But I have to say I don't think that part has been tested by anyone yet!
As long as you make a safety backup of your db that you can restore if things go wrong then it is worth a try. Of course - you should make a backup in any case.

I did it. But result is not good 🙂 Now in loggedin or loggedout mode i see blank page (just wordpress page with title)
