Did you try to install again after that?
If still issue, next step likely to disable other plugins to see which is interfering with ajax requests and see if that helps...
off to work now but can try to look further this weekend, though we normally wont disable all your plugins for you..

Sorry, what was your result? It did. It install because something is hijacking the aajx actions...
Could be the script concatenation... Hence the change and retry . Which I said I could do later or you could now. .
If it still fails, need to find out what is hijacking the Ajax requests... Disabling plugins is one way .Another is trying to change to default wp theme. You could also try disabling just word fence too... Trial and error at this point...
Bbpress and simple press are quite different

are you sure you made the change??? scripts are still getting concatenated:
<script type='text/javascript' src='http://www.ajijictoday.com.mx/wp-admin/load-scripts.php?c=0&load%5B%5D=jquery-core,jquery-migrate,utils,jquery-ui-widget,jquery-ui-position,jquery-ui-core,jquery-ui-tooltip,jquery-ui-progressbar&ver=4.9.7'></script> <script type='text/javascript' src='http://www.ajijictoday.com.mx/wp-admin/load-scripts.php?c=0&load%5B%5D=hoverIntent,common,admin-bar,wp-pointer,svg-painter,heartbeat,wp-auth-check,jquery-ui-mouse,jquery-ui-draggable,jquery-ui-slider&load%5B%5D=,jquery-touch-punch,iris,wp-color-picker,jquery-ui-sortable,sack,underscore,thickbox&ver=4.9.7'></script>
so if you put that in the wp-config.php, is it in right spot (ie above where it says nothing below here)??
if so, then something else is poorly concatenating the scripts...

I can't be the only person with these issues, can I?
Actually yes - all too easily. We don't believe this has anything to do with Avada.
Think about it... There are thousands of themes and thousands of plugins for WordPress. The combinations are infinite. And that is both the strength and the weakness of the platform. it only takes one of those plugins to be not quite right/standard etc., and chaos can reign.
I am unfamiliar with most of your plugins but even I can see code getting loaded in the admin that should not be because a plugin author is not making the simple check of what is being requested by the browser. I am sorry to say we see things like this quite often - not as bad and difficult to pin down - but similar things.
Without doubt (much doubt anyway) this is a plugin conflict where one of those you have active - and you do have a large number - is not behaving and is killing the AJAX return calls which - as a matter of fact - are all performed using standard WP standards.
We are still discussing and trying to think what it might be.
