My developer removed it before you saw it....sorry, it just makes the site look ridiculous.

See now:

[ sp_newest_topics forumids='3' itemorder='T' beforetopic='' listtags='0' limit='10' ]

I changed the case, still the same problem as I mentioned earlier.

Well, as I said, those are not duplicates...  they are just multiple posts with the same topic that are new...  just look at the hover preview...

but what is odd is that the link is not a complete url.. its just to the topic - it should be to the post...

have you done any other special adjustment to the template function?  like implement a hook?

No.  Can you help us get it to display what we're looking for?  We've been going round and round for over 3 weeks, I just want it to display appropriately.

Thanks

You do realize that even if the links were correct you still will show the same display like you have now. IE, the same topic name multiple times if the newest posts are in that same topic.

You might want to try the Hot Topics template tag since you are already running the latest topics in the sidebar.

Brandon is correct... the number is correct... the tag is not designed to show only one post from a topic...  if more than one post from a topic meets the requirements, multiple will be shown...

what I dont understand is how its pointing to the topic and not the post...  the tag is just not set up for that...  its almost as if you have filtered the url to remove the post and point to the topic instead...  thats not an accusation...

Sometime since the last update, the code no longer works.

[ sp_hot_topics forumids='3' itemorder='T' showhotness='0' showforum='0' showcount='0' limit='5' ]

Any ideas why?

None whatsoever. I do not believe that has changed at all for a long time. Particularly not on the last update. Tell me where you have put it and I will test on my local development system to see if it works for me here...

Thanks for the response.

I have it posted on all of my pages, here is an example:

http://www.werejustparents.com/tips/

It's odd, it used to work and for some reason it stopped.  Haven't added any plugins since either.
