Support Forum
Ordinary users of the forum (members) have standard access and I have 'Can start new topics in a forum' with a nice green light at the side of it and yet when any ordinary member tries to post a new topic the green saving post box pops up followed by a red box with the warning 'You are not allowed put links in post content'.
The same happens when trying to reply.
I'll try it for mods and try creating a new permission set.

I cannot duplicate this...
so need more info on your setup... default theme? or your own?
what about the permission 'Can reply to existing topics in a forum'?
Is the forum locked?

Steve this is a brand new install of WP 3.2.1 installed solely for testing V5 which was installed from scratch. I have the following plugins installed:
- Akismet
- Comment Image Embedder
- Health Check
- Really Simple CAPTCHA
- Simple:Press
- Tango Smileys Extended
- User Avatar
- User Role Editor
- WP-Members
- WP-Table Reloaded
- WP Security Scan
Forum is not locked and as I said above the permissions are correct for the forum. This has changed in the last 2 days as I definitely did not have this problem previously.
I always go to the default theme before reporting problems.
You mean in spam posts? Well I have never been near that since a fresh install and remember this WAS working fine.
I have changed the status and it makes no difference, besides there are no links it is a simple text post. Can you register as a test user on my site and see for your self.
You have admin access.
This needs to be sorted out this one. It happened after the svn up Wednesday morning. I don't have any way of checking the svn version from this pc sorry.
