Rolled back and still no difference. Happened at 6829, worked before that. Please fix this, it's really important to me, if it's not your fault then help me find out what's going on.

Conrad, its hard to fix if its unknown what your issue is...  No one else seems to be having this issue - certainly Andy and I are not...

we are not ignoring it, but have to explore what could be unique in your set up and try to ascertain what might be going on...

patience please...  after all, you just have it running on a test site for now, right? Wink

I guess I should pipe in here and say that I have no problems posting or replying as a regular member on my setup. Sorry, but I've tried several times with all kinds of users.

Lee, same for Andy and I...

Conrad, can Andy and I still access your server?  I dont seem to have a PM with credentials... can you resend them to us so we can take a closer look?

Steve PM sent.

My best guess (and it's only a guess) is that the plug in 'user role editor' has screwed with the DB.

I have tried un installing it but I suspect the damage is done.

hmmm... something odd here... ticket open...

problem with you not allowing links in post content...  shouldnt matter, but error in that check it appears... and on your site, you cant change the admin to allow links - doesnt save properly.  so will get that fixed up...

we dont see it because the default is to allow links... and why Andy asked if you had that setting off...  you said you changed, but bet you never really checked and assumed it saved... but the save isnt working...  if you go back you will see it still disabled...

anyway, will work the fixes...

an svn up should fix this... sort of...

The changeset corrects handling of links not allowed like you have set...

but I didnt see anything wrong in the admin code for saving the option... and it saves fine for me...  think its something more globally (another plugin??) affecting you...  I was having problem saving any options... so that will have to be chased separately...

Had to do an upgrade this time, was that expected. Anyway it certainly seems to have worked. So will you check the saving any options problem for admins? There is another added bonus as well. I'll tell you in another thread.
