alright nice
and yeah for some reason was only showing blank ones for ‘everything’ filter for me, if you picked ‘forum posts’ or ‘forum topics’ it didn’t show at all unless you had permissions to see it.
actually, maybe you can test the one line fix for me real quick… file buddypress/library/sp-buddypress-activity.php… around line 68… after
if (!$view) {
# no permission so remove the activity from this user’s view
can you try adding
$removed = true; # set flag to reorder the array
and let me know… thanks!
version 0.8 now uploaded… fixes the permission check… couple other nits…
keep laying and providing feedback!
Oh goodie, goodie, goodie! Been waiting for something like this to come along. Downloaded and will start testing immediately. It’s usually quiet over the weekend on my site, so this’ll go largely unnoticed till I point it out. I’ll leave you feedback as soon as I’ve played with it.
Well, ran into my first hurdle. Activated plugin, and results in an error:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 523800 bytes) in /problem-with-post-edit-buttonome/toysoldi/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 271
Out front on the site,
and in the admin area replaces the page (not the side bar) with
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 2048 bytes) in /problem-with-post-edit-buttonome/toysoldi/public_html/wp-includes/capabilities.php on line 696
Did I miss something in the previous pages of this post?
Before I go stumbling around too much, will that be a cpanel matter or a wordpress matter?
its a php thing… in the php.ini… lets see what yours is set to first… forum – toolbox – environment should tell you the setting…
then you can try increasing it in your wp-config.php file…
define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ’48M’);
replace 48M with something larger than the value you find on the environment page… try increasing it by say 16M
Well, toolbox-environment for PHP is given me:
Version: 5.3.8
Memory: 256M
Max Upload: 64M
Timeout: 300
However, after adding
define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ’48M’);
or even
define(‘WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘256M’);
I’m still getting the same error. So I’m guessing perhaps I need to contact my host to boost it up a tad?
you shouldnt need that much… 256M is way more than you should need…
so if you change it to 72M in the wp config, does it actually change when you go to the environment page?
so just to check, did you put our buddypress plugin in the sp plugin folder and activate? vs the wp plugins? its very small and compact… hard to imagine it would increase your memory footprint at all…
Yeah, went into wp-config.php, and added the 72M define (is there any place in particular I should be adding it?)
I quickly installed http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-memory-usage/ to see how much I was currently using and it’s giving 256M available and 65M used.
After editing the config file, both the plugin and the toolbox are still telling me I have 256M available.
