Ok Sorry it took so long
We have a sandbox site to play in.
Wordpress is at the latest version 4.6.1. Everything was working with SimplePress version 5.6.7. I'm using the default SP theme.
Once I updated to the latest SP version 5.7.1 then 2 things happened:
1. The default theme seemed to lose all it's CSS (see attachment).
2. The previous problem of the menu disappearing only when I login into the forum, continues.
I have already done the following:
1. Switched to the default WP theme. The above 2 problem still continues.
I can give you access to the sandbox site could you please take a look to figure out what's going on?

If you can send some temp credentials to yellow swordfish and mr papa via PM to log into the site, we can take a look.
Please make the account a wp admin with full sp admin capabilities.
