Backup your database prior to installing Simple:Press

If something can go wrong it will go wrong on that one occasion you did not backup your data first! Always make a backup.
Simple:Press does NOT alter any of the core WordPress database tables in any way but this does not mean that a backup should be ignored. It is always good policy to backup your database before any major change to your website.

We may be unable to help you with subsequent problems should they arise if a database restore is the logical option.
